Southold Dance Theater is a nationally recognized dance school and youth company. We have created a curriculum that brings out the best in all of our dancers by referring to the Vaganova Method of teaching (*we are not a certified Vaganova school<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The Vaganova Method is a ballet technique and training system devised by the Russian dancer and pedagogue Agrippina Vaganova (1879\u20131951). It is acknowledged all over the world as the foremost training syllabus of classical ballet. The Method is an extraordinary system that permits the development of knowledge on how one\u2019s body should be used in order to dance with expression while avoiding injury to the body.<\/h4>\n

We welcome newcomers to chose a class and come for a trial class with us! Below is a waiver form for the trial class of your choice. Hard copies also available in our office.<\/p>\n
