Southold Dance Theater is a pre-professional ballet school in Northern Indiana, we offer
training to all community children ages 3 and above. We are a positive and friendly
environment, excited for the future and the growth of our organization.
We are seeking a qualified teacher who specializes in Ballet, a teacher that is both passionate
and caring to our students.
This teacher will be primarily teaching our intermediate and advanced students ages 8-18, the the teacher will need to be able to teach, ballet technique class, pointe class, repertoire and be
able to hold rehearsals.
Potential candidates must be able to commit to a workweek of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Saturday with the possibility of private lessons, coaching, or extra rehearsals on
Fridays.

Experience:
• Professional dancing experience
• Vaganova training preferred
• 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred
• Choreographic experience preferred

Qualities we are looking for:
• Proactive and engaging with our students
• Well versed in ballet history
• Ability to work with children
• Trustworthy and reliable

Your duties at the school will be:
• Teaching class and holding rehearsals 12-15+ hours a week
• Attend faculty meetings once a month
• Private lessons (if available)
• YAGP coaching (if available)
• Attend outreach programs and other events held by the organization
